If you also lack patience, are tempted to sneak a peak or pop a leaf out then this is for you!!
Take a warm paper towel and gently wrap it around the “special” leaf. Hold it there for 30+ seconds. It should start unfurling when you let go. Or repeat if necessary.
I have also used this trick on the shoots that will someday be leaves to get the leaf to extend. That’s a 50/50 shot though.

Oh wow, thanks for the tip! Both my pink princess and painted lady have this going on. I’m going to try it after work.

One of mine had the cataphyll (learned a new word today, go me!) that was dried out, and open had already come off the bottom and was almost off the tip this week. I managed to flick it off and I really should go look at it tonight in my hot sunroom.
I probably would have yesterday, but I got distracted by a few other plants that I’ve had propagating in water. And then I had to help my husband moving seeding equipment for his uncles.
YOU ARE THE BEST! THANK YOU!!
Thanks for this info!
